Using this website does not commit you to placing an order. For Domestic
properties you will obtain multiple estimates for EPCs from a
number of Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs) together with their
contact details. This information is provided instantly. For Commercial
properties we will just give a list of contact details without an
initial estimate. In both cases you can then choose a supplier, deal with them
directly and cut out the middle man.
If you are a Landlord and you are about to rent out a property
then you will need to have available a
Landlord's EPC for
your prospective tenant.
If you have a commercial property that you are going to sell or
rent out, you will need a
Commercial EPC.
If you have a public building and you require a
Display Energy Certificate (DEC) then
we will provide you with a list of Energy Assessors who are accredited to
provide this service.
If you are planning a new build and require a
Predicted Energy Assessment (PEA) then
we will provide you with a list of Energy Assessors who are accredited to
provide this service.
If you have completed or are near completing the building of a new home, you
will require an
On Construction Energy Performance Certificate (OCEPC). If
you have an air conditioning system you may require an
Air Conditioning Inspection..
If you are selling a Domestic property then you will require a
Home Information Pack (HIP)which
is a set of documents providing important information about a property such as
searches, copies of the deeds etc and an
EPC.
The above notes are for guidance only and you should consider consulting a
Solicitor to be certain of your legal requirements. Before appointing an Energy
Assessor you should check that they have adequate qualifications, experience
and insurance. In addition the Energy Assessor should also belong to one of the
recognised accreditation schemes. There are a number of schemes recognised by
the government. In Sept 2008 these were as follows:

and Ventilation Certificated Associates.
