Free online estimates from Building Surveyors, Structural Engineers and other Property Specialists

This website gives you direct online contact throughout the United Kingdom with local Surveyors and Structural Engineers able to carry out surveys and inspections on your property. In addition, there are also a wide range of related services from other property specialists (Architects, Domestic Energy Assessors, Electricians, etc).

A list of Estimates will only take a few seconds to generate and will appear in your web browser together with full contact details for each expert. You will then be able to get in touch directly with these suppliers to discuss your requirements in more detail. We will also send a copy of this price comparison information to your email address.

If you are about to sell your house you will require a
Home Information Pack (HIP) which will contain an
Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) and possibly an optional Home Condition Report (HCR). . This website will help you to find HIPs providers and DEAs together with lists of costs for their services.

If you are about to purchase a property you may wish to commission a Surveyor to carry out a Homebuyer Survey or a full Building Survey. Click for advice on the differences between surveys to find out which type of survey might be appropriate for your property. If you have already had a survey and this has outlined possible problems with subsidence, electrics, damp, asbestos ... etc, you may wish to identify a local Engineer or specialist to inspect and report on this in more detail.

If you are concerned about a problem in your existing home such as a crack in the wall, a tree growing too close, a sagging roof, a leaning chimney, old electrical wiring, etc, you may wish to identify someone who can give you a professional opinion.

If you have a dispute with a builder over poor workmanship or have a disagreement with a neighbour over a boundary issue, or Party Wall, you might require a Building Surveyor or a Party Wall Surveyor. Advice from the right person might help you to avoid a legal situation.

In each case you will be able to click on the name of a supplier and then view more information provided by them. They are able to include information on their qualifications and experience. Is the supplier a Chartered Surveyor, Chartered Engineer, Chartered Architect, Qualified Domestic Energy Assessor, Registered Electrician, etc? Which body are they registered with; Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE), Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE), Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), NICEIC, NAPIT, BRE, BSi, ELECSA, SELECT, etc. Links are also provided to supplier’s websites for even more details.
